This year, we started our Thanksgiving feasts a day early.
Aidyn, actually, was supposed to start his Thanksgiving celebrations on Monday but was at home with ear infections. His Nonnie (Ben's mom) was going to take him with her to a dinner with her family and friends, but he ended up staying home instead.
On Wednesday, we ate dinner with Ben's family at his parents' house. Aidyn wore his "Little Road Hogs" Harley Davidson shirt. He enjoyed Thanksgiving VERY much! He ate turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, green beans (I think), and a little banana pudding. Yummm-o! On Thursday, we dropped Aidyn off at Ben's parents' house and Ben and I went to do the Turkey Trot. The Turkey Trot is a 5k road race that takes place every year. Ben runs and I walk. The goal is to get more families in our area to be physically active. So, to encourage this, they award $1,000 to the school with the most participants. Every year the school I teach at (elementary) comes in 2nd place to one of the local high schools. This year they changed the rules and created 2 categories...small schools (less than 800 students) and large schools (more than 800 students). Well, guess what? We won!!!
So, after the Turkey Trot we picked Aidyn up, went home to shower and headed to my parents' house for lunch. Aidyn had a wonderful lunch there as well. He ate turkey, mashed potatoes, and brocolli casserole. Mmmm!
